Do you offer free consultations before starting therapy?

Yes — we offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about your needs, answer your questions, and see if we’re a good fit before scheduling a full intake session

What can I expect in the first (intake) session?

The intake session is our first full appointment, where we explore your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. It’s also a time to begin building a therapeutic connection and collaborate on a plan that feels right for you.

How long is each therapy session?

Therapy sessions typically range from 45 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on your needs and the type of session. We'll find a rhythm that works best for you.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. Frequency can be adjusted based on your progress, preferences, and life circumstances.

How do I book a session or consultation?

You can book your free consultation here or reach out through the Contact us page. I’ll respond promptly to help you take the next step.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?

That’s completely valid—and more common than you might think. Therapy is a deeply personal process. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, so we’ll work together to make sure it’s the right fit for you this time around.

Why should we be your choice for therapy?

We understand that choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and we’re honored you’re considering us. Our team offers a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach grounded in evidence-based practices. We integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused techniques to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and supported. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, we’re here to walk alongside you—with empathy, expertise, and respect. Clients often tell us they appreciate our balance of warmth and practical support, and the way we personalize care so that therapy feels meaningful and effective. We’re here to help you grow, heal, and move forward—at your own pace.

Where are you located?

We’re located at 100 Market Street, Clifton, NJ 07012.
Our office is designed to feel cozy, warm, and welcoming—a calming space where you can feel at ease the moment you walk in. We aim to make your experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible, whether you're coming in for your first session or continuing your therapy journey.

Virtual sessions are also available for clients throughout New Jersey.

What if I don’t feel a connection with the therapist I was matched with?

No problem at all—we completely understand. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and finding the right fit is an important part of the process. If you don’t feel a connection with your therapist after a session or two, you’re always welcome to reach out. We’ll gladly work with you to find another clinician who may be a better match for your needs and personality.

Think of it like finding the right pair of shoes—you may need to try a couple before finding the perfect fit. Your comfort and trust are essential to the work we do, and we’re here to support you in finding the therapist who feels right for you.

What if I’m in immediate danger or feel unsafe?

If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, please seek immediate help. Your safety is the top priority.

Why Therapy Matters: The Power and Benefits of Mental Health

In today’s fast-paced, high-pressure world, many of us are juggling careers, relationships, families, and personal expectations—all while managing our inner emotional landscape. It's no surprise that more people than ever are turning to therapy for support. But beyond being a space to talk, therapy is a powerful tool for healing, growth, and transformation.

Why Is Therapy Important?

At its core, therapy provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It’s a space where you don’t have to pretend or perform. You’re simply allowed to be—exactly as you are—and work toward where you want to be.

Whether you're navigating a life transition, managing anxiety or depression, or seeking greater self-awareness, therapy equips you with tools to cope, heal, and thrive.

The Proven Benefits of Therapy

✅ Improved Mental Health

According to the American Psychological Association, around 75% of people who enter therapy report feeling better, including reduced symptoms and improved daily functioning.

✅ Better Coping Skills

Therapy teaches healthy ways to manage stress, trauma, and emotional triggers. Evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are proven to help reframe negative thinking and improve emotional regulation.

✅ Enhanced Relationships

Therapy helps you understand relationship patterns, set boundaries, and communicate more clearly. A 2018 study in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy found that therapy leads to higher relationship satisfaction for many couples and individuals.

✅ Increased Self-Awareness

By exploring your past and present patterns, therapy helps you develop insight, break cycles, and move forward with intention and clarity.

✅ Support Through Life Transitions

Whether you're dealing with a breakup, job change, illness, or loss, therapy offers compassionate guidance and practical support through every season of life.

✅ Symptom Relief

Talk therapy has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. A 2016 review in The Lancet Psychiatry found that psychotherapy can be just as effective as medication for many moderate mental health issues.

Therapy Isn’t Just for Crisis

A common myth is that therapy is only for people going through a crisis. In truth, therapy can benefit anyone who wants to feel better, understand themselves more deeply, or improve their quality of life.

Just like going to the gym or seeing a doctor for wellness checks, therapy can be part of your ongoing self-care and emotional maintenance.
